Cochrane has dropped from eight to seven active cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Cochrane is very slowly, widening the gap from the mandatory mask bylaw that would be enacted if ten active cases were reported.

Rocky View County is not faring as well as it has seen an increase from 25 active cases to 27 in the past 24 hours.

Provincially, Alberta saw 244 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday bringing the total to 2,738.

There are 101 Albertans in hospital with 16 of them in ICU.

Sadly, another death has been reported bringing that grim total to 288.

Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Deena Hinshaw will provide an update on Friday.
