We are officially just two days away from Mother's Day, and conveniently, last-minute shoppers can still hit up the Social Spot this weekend to shop locally for their moms and support small Cochrane businesses.

Owner of Quirk Social, Kailey Mitchell says that with the latest restrictions announced by the province, The Spring Pop Up will operate at a reduced 10 per cent capacity this weekend.

With the fluid state of the pandemic and restrictions, Mitchell says that the remainder of the Pop Up Markets scheduled for May will be postponed.

"At this time, we believe that it is in everyone's best interest for us to postpone the remainder of the Pop-Up Spring Market dates [scheduled for] May 14, May 21, May 28," says Mitchell. "We feel that it is the responsible thing to do our part to help our province get back to some normalcy."

Those markets have been postponed by three weeks, and will instead run on the weekends of June 4, 11 and 18.

Shoppers can pop by The Social Spot this evening from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m.to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Social Spot is located in the old IGA building at 609 1st Street West in Cochrane.
