On Friday, March 13, 2020, The Town of Cochrane sent out a release on their proactive response to COVID-19. The Municipal Emergency Management Plan has been put in place here in Cochrane which allows officials to take proactive measures to protect the Cochranites and coordinate responses and communications.

Mayor Jeff Genung says that the Town’s main focus is the welfare of Cochranites. “The health and well-being of the community is our top priority. We are being intentionally cautious, and I want to thank residents, businesses and Town staff for their continued cooperation and diligence during this dynamic time.”

Cochrane’s COVID-19 risk is still considered low and the town’s day-to-day operations are continuing as per normal.
