Cochrane's thunderstorm watch has been upgraded to a warning,

Environment Canada meteorologists are keeping an eye on a line of severe thunderstorms that could bring hail as large as nickels, extremely strong wind gusts, and a lot of rain.

This thunderstorm is situated 20 km west of Airdrie and is slowly moving eastward. With this thunderstorm, significant accumulations of tiny hail are possible.

In the event of impending inclement weather, you are urged to seek shelter right away.

The weather service warns that large hail can damage property and cause injury.

Strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings, break branches off trees and overturn large vehicles.
