The 2020 Cochrane Community Awards are officially accepting nominations. This annual program is meant to point the spotlight at community members, businesses and organizations that all put in the effort to make Cochrane such an incredible place.

There are 13 categories that the awards recognize, everything from Citizen of the Year to the renowned Order of Cochrane, the latter is presented by Cochrane’s mayor and council.

Valerie McCracken, Chair of the Organizing Committee for the Cochrane Community Awards says that picking the winners can be a hard decision. “In selecting the recipient, we involve many community members from across the whole spectrum of Cochrane to ensure that we get a lot of different eyes looking at the nominations and to make the really tough decisions.”

Nominations run from now until April 10 and the ceremony takes place on May 24 at the Cochrane Ranchehouse. You can nominate for The Cochrane Community Awards here.
