Starting today, local non-profits and organizations can request communitywide recognition by illuminating the Jack Tennant Memorial Bridge or raising a flag at the Cochrane RancheHouse.

According to a release from the Town, the new application process provides groups with an opportunity to recognize and celebrate special occasions and events that helps foster a spirit of community and celebrates Cochrane’s diverse cultures.

Manager of the RancheHouse Event Centre, Kristie Bell says the aim of this service is to help local groups achieve broader awareness, support and recognition within the community.

Applicants must be community-focused and  not-for-profit; and all applications must be made at least three weeks prior to the requested date.
