The Town of Cochrane has implemented heightened COVID-19 safety protocols to align with the latest restrictions announced by the province.

Provincial leaders announced aggressive new measures last week, as As Alberta enters its fourth wave and declares a State of Public Health Emergency.

A release from the Town states that they "continue to follow Alberta Health Services (AHS) guidance as it relates to the pandemic response."

All Town facilities will remain open to the public with mandatory masking requirements, physical distancing and occupancy restrictions in place.

These restrictions apply to the:

  • RancheHouse
  • Visitor Information Centre
  • Protective Services Centre reception
  • Operations Shop reception
  • Family & Community Support Services
  • Family Resource Network
  • Eco Centre

The RancheHouse Events Centre is participating in the Restriction Exemption Program (REP), meaning that anyone using the facility for a private event is required to provide their proof of COVID-19 vaccination, medical exemption or a negative rapid test result privately paid for and completed within the last 72 hours.

Town officials say that their commitment to demonstrating safe operations throughout the pandemic will continue.
