Registration opens on Jan. 13 for the Cochrane and District Chamber of Commerce Trade Show set for May 7 and 8 after a two-year absence.

That's exciting news for those who have exhibited and attended the popular trade show in the past.

"We're going to follow all the guidelines that will be in place, but we're certainly going to have it," says chamber executive director Kelly Carson. "We're excited, and I know in talking to a few people already, they're excited to come."

The absence of the trade show has left a gap for businesses seeking to promote their products and services.

"Certainly, the need for that exists in the fact that there are people who work from home but don't have a storefront. They need those types of venues and facilities to promote and sell what they do, so we're excited to lead that again this year."

A wide range of products and services are regularly featured. Nonprofit organizations have also found it to be an ideal place to create awareness, gain support, and recruit volunteers.

Each trade show has special features, including a kids zone, and it's something you can expect to hear more as the date draws closer.

Carson says they typically attract 140 exhibitors, and they hope to possibly add even a few more this year.

After that, registrants will be contacted by Carson to discuss their needs.
