The City of Humboldt's tribute website for the 2017/18 Humbodlt Broncos team has officially launched.

April 6th, 2020 marks the two year anniversary of the Humboldt Broncos bus crash. In respect and remembrance of the 29 members on the bus on April 6th, 2018, the City of Humboldt has put together a website to pay tribute.

"We've kept it fairly simple. There are player pictures of those that were lost and those that survived. We've put a slide show together with messages to go with it. We also have a guestbook where people can sign their name and location on the site, and we've also added links to a number of videos that were up together to pay tribute to the team and everyone that was involved," said Humboldt Mayor, Rob Muench.

The site officially launched at 12:00 pm on April 6th.

"I looked through it the other day and it's quite touching. I would recommend anybody that can, to go on to the City of Humboldt's website and take a look if they have time."

With the anniversary taking place in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, larger gatherings and tributes had to be held off. However a moment of silence will be held and church bells will be rung at 4:50 PM on Monday, April 6th.

"We had to scale back what we had planned, but we kept a couple of parts of what we were going to do originally. The first is bell tolls at 4:50 pm at St. Augustine Church, and then we are going to follow that with a minute of silence. I'd ask everybody in the community and the surrounding area to take a minute wherever you are at that time and remember those that were tragically lost two years ago today," said Muench
