Thirteen more deaths from COVID-19 were confirmed by the province when they released numbers for the virus on Saturday with two of those who died reported to be in their 20s.

The death of the man and woman occurred in the Calgary Zone with neither of the deaths involving any confirmed comorbidities.  The 13 deaths bring the death toll in the province to 1,525.

575 new cases were reported on Saturday with active cases falling to 9,727 from 9,987 the previous day.  The number of active cases in Alberta have dropped for a straight week now. 10,894 tests were administered in the province over the last 24 hour period bringing the provincial positivity rate to 5.3 per cent. 

Hospitalizations and ICU patients being treated for COVID-19 also continue to fall.  676 people are in hospital, 114 in intensive care.

Cochrane's active case count fell to 28, while Rocky View County has 70 active cases. 

The province has now administered over 98,000 doses of vaccine.  More than 120,000 Albertans have now had COVID-19.
