Update : As of 6:10 Sunday evening, Jim has been found safe and sound.

Members of Cochrane Search & Rescue, Calgary Search and Rescue, and the local RCMP are searching for a missing man and are asking residents for help. 

Jim Beatty left his home for a walk in the Glenbow Drive area yesterday afternoon but failed to return home. 

The 73-year-old was last seen at around 3 p.m. Saturday.

Beatty is believed to be in good health but is hard of hearing. 

He was not wearing his hearing aids when he left home. 

He is described as:

- 5'11

-172 lbs

- grey hair & blue eyes

Search & Rescue members along with police are searching all local pathways, trails and neighbourhoods on foot and on ATV's.

The Search & Rescue personnel are wearing orange or yellow jackets that identify themselves as Search and Rescue.

A helicopter is being used in the search as well. 

Cochranites are being asked to be on the lookout for him in your garages, backyards and sheds.
