The entire community will benefit from the fruits of labour of a volunteer workforce of Bike Cochrane.

After 60-plus hours of volunteer work, the LaunchPad bike park is now open in the Quarry.

The park is a popular destination for youth, and it's not uncommon to see hundreds of youth using the course daily. Some days, it reaches upwards of a thousand.

That is when the weather is appropriate.

Paul Perrault, Bike Cochrane's director of operations, reminds people to not use the course when it's wet, and for people to please clean up after themselves to help keep it pristine.

Bike Cochrane has also recently broken ground on a new mini-bike park in the Riverfront Park and has begun its summer bike data counting.
