We are quickly approaching the one-year anniversary of the day when life as we knew it changed.

It still feels like yesterday where we went from normal everyday activities with crowds, lunches out and fully staffed offices to schools being shut down, playgrounds taped off and only essential stores open for business.

The suddenness and the shocking feeling of the COVID-19 lockdown is one that will likely stick with all of us for the rest of our lives.

No one knew what was to come or how long it would last. We are a year into it now and some things have changed but many things remain the same. We still can't gather with family and friends to celebrate happy occasions, virtual meetings in the workplace are still very much a part of the norm and we can't go for a night out to enjoy live music with a crowd of other people.

If you knew the restrictions would last this long what would you have done differently last winter before being shut down?

I would have made sure to squeeze in as many visits with friends and family before March 18, 2020.
