When the Western Hockey League opens its season Friday night, you'll be able to watch all the action live in the comfort of your home.

The WHL has announced the launch of the all-new WHL Live on CHL TV.

“The WHL is very excited to introduce WHL Live on CHL TV, a brand new way for hockey fans to experience WHL hockey in the comfort of their own homes," says WHL Commissioner Ron Robison. “We believe WHL Live on CHL TV will deliver a much-improved viewing experience for fans who enjoy following the WHL.”

The WHL is offering free viewing for all WHL home openers, beginning Friday, Feb. 26 when the Red Deer Rebels play host to the Medicine Hat Tigers.

That means here in Cochrane, we'll be able to watch Cochranites Caleb Willms and Damon Agyeman, and the rest of the Medicine Hat Tigers attempt to build upon their success last season.

WHL Live on CHL TV will feature free-to-access, video-on-demand content and a user interface league officials say are both pleasing to the eye and easy to navigate.

Packages are now available for purchase here. Full access to the entire season is available for $59.99 and a 24-hour pass costs $6.99.
