If you plan to attend a Calgary Flames or Stampeders game in the future, you need to have your COVID-19 vaccine.

Calgary Sports and Entertainment (CSEC) which owns the Flames, Stampeders, Hitmen, and Roughnecks announced its new vaccine policy to come into effect on Sept. 15.

Under the new rules, all fans that are eligible to receive the vaccine, along with event staff and employees need to be fully vaccinated in order to attend live events at the Scotiabank Saddledome and McMahon Stadium.

"As we continue to navigate these unprecedented times, CSEC believes this policy to be essential in delivering a safe environment for our fans and staff as well as an important measure to help our communities and businesses to continue reopening safely," CSEC said in a statement.

"We will monitor the situation and communicate required updates to ensure a safe environment for everyone visiting our facilities."

Further details on how this new policy will be implemented are expected to come out in the coming weeks.
