Provincial court Judge George Gaschler has ruled that the youth involved in the shooting of German tourist, Horst Stewin, is indeed guilty.

The teen who can not be identified because he was only sixteen at the time is being charged with aggravated assault and reckless discharge of a firearm.

Now seventeen years of age, the Stoney Nakoda youth will face the Calgary Court on February 10th, 2020, to learn his sentence.

Horst Stewin had eight bullet fragments removed from his brain and is now paralyzed on his right side. He gets confused and has memory issues due to the shooting which occured just west of the Chief Goodstoney Rodeo Centre on August 2, 2018.

Several other charges, including attempted murder, were dropped earlier.
