If you've been missing the play of the Bow Valley Rugby Club's adult teams the wait is over.

There's a feast of rugby action at the Mitford Park and you're invited to bring a lawn chair and enjoy some high-calibre play.

It all starts Friday night when the senior ladies host their home opener at Mitford Park starting at 7 p.m.

It continues Saturday with four games being played.

After spending the first part of the season on the road, Alberta Cup Men's Grizzlies team will be hosting the Irish in their first game on home turf in the province's premiere Division 1. Start time is 3 p.m.

The Griz mauled the Irish, 74-10, in their first game of the season on the road, May 5, and have a 2-1 record going into Saturday's game (separate story to follow). The Griz made the jump to Alberta's top rugby league after winning the tier 2 provincial championship last season.

The action doesn't end there. The tier 2 Griz team squares off with the Irish at 4:30 p.m.

Prior to this, the club's U13 and U15 boys teams hosting the Titans. The U13s play at 12 noon and the U15s at 1:30 p.m.

The BVRC U13 girls are playing in Calgary on Saturday.

There's plenty of action ahead for the BVRC teams and that includes the return of the U17/19 team now that the high school rugby season is over.
