The Bow Valley Bobcats cruised to a 7-3 win in their final regular season game of Rocky View Sports senior boys soccer against Bert Church, May 23, and will go into the playoffs undefeated as the top ranked team.

The Bobcats took a 5-0 lead against the Chargers before allowing many of their younger players to gain more game experience.

The Bobcats have handily beatened most of their opponents this season and their only tie came in a 2-2 game against the Cochrane High Cobras. They enter in the semifinals and play at home on June 6. Should they advance, the divisional finals are slated for June 8 at Monklands Park in Airdrie.

The Bobcats get a week off after a gruelling zone championship and will play the winner of the match between Cochrane High and Bert Church.

"The week off will do us good," says coach Rob Kimura. "I think we'll be ready for playoffs"

The 1st place Bobcats beat their closest rivals, the Chestermere Cowboys, in their season opener, 5-1. A four goal margin has been common this season, making them the favourites to win the divisionals.
