The Cochrane Choas will have home ice advantage in south division playoff action of the Alberta Junior Female Hockey League (AJFHL) after winning back-to-back games on the weekend.

On home ice, the Chaos downed the Calgary Jag, 5-2, before Jenna Weseen earned her third shutout of the season against Central Alberta Amazons in a 4-0 win. That clinched first place in the south with two games remaining in the regular season.

The second one was the most impressive and gets the monkey off their back in what has been another tight contest with the Amazons. Both teams went into the game with two wins apiece in the five-game season series.

The Chaos will be facing the fourth-place Jags in a best-of-three semifinal. The winner advances to the south division championship, also a three-game series.

The Chaos will have a home-ice advantage while playing in the south but that will change in the best-of-five provincial final should the defending champion Sherwood Park Steele advance to the final. Going into the weekend, the Steele have an eight-point spread on the Chaos and can't be caught.

The Chaos wrap up their regular season with two games on the road this weekend against the Jags and the Lethbridge Eagles.

Two Chaos are heading into the weekend with a chance to hit the 20-goal mark on the season. Leading scorer Audrey Buston has 19 goals and Faith Gette, 18.
