Two high schools will come together to play some hockey and raise some cash.

For 14 years in a row, the bleachers at Spray Lake Sawmills Family Sports Centre will be alive with two of the town high school colours.

Cochrane High School(CHS) and Bow Valley High School(BVHS) will be like the Clash of the Titans when they meet for the Cochrane Classic Charity Hockey game. Okay, maybe not the Titans, but a great bunch of kids that hit the ice to raise some money for local charities.

Dorothy Karlson, Leadership Advisor, BVHS is helping organize this event and says this is a friendly hockey game between the two schools that come together to give back to Cochrane. All funds raised through admission and a silent auction will be presented to the Cochrane Activettes in the last five minutes of the game.

"They are mostly grade 12 students, boys and girls. Some can skate, some can not, which creates such a fun aspect to it. It is all for the betterment of our community and is so fun."

The hockey game will take place on Wednesday, February 15 at 4pm at SLSFSC.
