With the Cochrane High varsity girls team's 67-38 win over the Bert Church Chargers last night, they'll be plenty of dribbling in local gyms leading up to the divisional finals.

Tonight both the Bow Valley Bobcats junior boys and girls team are hosting their respective quarterfinal games after the Cobras finished third and the Bobcats fourth in the regular season of Rocky View Sports. Meanwhile, the Cobras junior boys team will be resting up for their Friday night semifinal game here after getting a bye on the strength of their second-place finish.

Thursday night the Bobcats varsity girls, who finished first in the regular season, will be hosting Chestermere in a semifinal matchup after receiving a bye from the first round. The Cobras solid win last night paved the way for them to host W. H. Croxford tomorrow.

Cobras Head Coach Randy Peron was impressed with his team's intensity in the quarterfinal matchup.

"The players worked extremely hard together tonight with no let-up," says Peron. "Good habits are needed now as each game becomes more intense."

Should both local teams win tomorrow it will be a Bobcats-Cobras final.

The Cobras varsity boys host the Bert Church Chargers in Thursday in the second game of the night at Cochrane High. They finished second and have been perfect since losing their opening game to Chestermere.

There's no chance of an all-Cochrane final in boys varsity basketball since Bow Valley didn't enter a team into the league this season.

Airdrie's Bert Church High is hosting all of the division final games on Saturday.

The following weekend, Cochrane High is hosting the varsity girls zone championship while the Cobras boys varsity team will return to Bert Church.
