The Coaldale Copperheads are the south division champions of the Heritage Junior Hockey League (HJHL) ending the Cochrane Generals attempt to surge back into contention.

Tied 1-1 after the first, the Copperheads went on to win 4-2 last night at home and now go on to face the Airdrie Techmation Thunder in the HJHL final.

The Copperheads took a 4-1 late into the third before Caden Chudleigh scored a powerplay goal from Chris Sambrook and Braden Bain.

The Gens were down 3-0 in the series before sparking a late third-period win at home, Mar. 10.

The Airdrie Techmation Thunder wrapped up their north final series against the Mountainview Colts in Game Six last night with a 4-3 win.

The schedule is now being finalized for this best-of-five final.
