All the signs are pointing to Cochrane’s Dillon Dube’s making the starting lineup for the Calgary Flames.

With Tuesday’s roster deadline looming, the Flames placed defenceman Brett Kulak and forwards Anthony Peluso and Curtis Lazar on wavers on Sunday.

Dube was at practice today and several are predicting he will be teamed up with Derek Ryan and James Neal, whom he played with during the Sept. 27 game against San Jose.

In the final preseason game Sunday, he was teamed with top line forwards Johnny Gaudreau and Elias Lindholm when Sean Monahan had the night off.

Dube is pleased with his performance in the preseason and will soon know if he’s with the Flames or bound for California to play with the Stockton Heat, their American Hockey League affiliate.

“The last two games were good for me and good to building into season,” says Dube. “Overall, I felt handled myself. I think those last two games ramped up perfectly into the season.”
