The 2017 Footstock race is less than 2 months away  (June 3 and 4), and organizers are pleased with how the event is coming together.

Meredith McMorran, Race Co-chair, says  they "are now waiting for registrations to come in and looking for volunteers, but our permits are in place and our race routes are set."

McMorran says their most popular race has always been the Kids Triathalon, and that race has about 90 spots left. Organizers are excited to bring back the half-marathon, which they were unable to do for a couple of years due to flood damage to the pathway.

They will also have  5 km run/walk, 10 km run, Individual duathlon and Relay duathlon divisions.

Races start and finish at the rodeo grounds, where there will be a  race festival area with local vendors and musicians performing.

McMorran adds that volunteers are always needed and encouraged to contact the race organizers through the Footstock website.
