The Cochrane Chaos junior female hockey team is hosting the Calgary Titans on Friday night in their last regular season home game.

Still, we're sure to see a lot more of the team come playoffs.

The Chaos continue to be the top team in the Alberta Female Junior Hockey League (AFJHL) leading into Friday's game and that's the way head coach Derek Loomer would like the team to finish. Being number one in the nine-team league will give the Chaos home-ice advantage throughout the playoffs, including the north-west final against the advancing Edmonton area team.

It's a close battle between the Chaos and the Central Alberta Amazons for first in the south division and the entire AFJHL. Both are tied with 40 points, but the Chaos have won four of their five games against the Amazons.

In the north, the Sherwood Park Steele remain the top club with 37 points. The Chaos split their regular season matchups with the Steele, 1-1.

The Chaos continued their winning ways last weekend against the Lethbridge Eagles, winning 5-0 on Jan. 26, then 5-1 on Jan. 28.

Jenna Weseen earned her fourth shutout of the season against the Eagles while Megan Parkyn had her chance at number six spoiled in Sunday's game.

Melanie Scholtz had a rare hattrick in game number one against the Eagles, with both Audrey Buston and Jenna Wasylik picking up singles. The team's top scorer, Breanna Martin, scored a pair on Sunday while singles went to Cochrane's Summer Gibbons, Faith Gette and Shelby Kirkpatrick.

To round out the regular season, the Chaos have a pair on the road against the Calgary Warriors and travel to Lethbridge for their last game.
