Although the Cochrane Generals lost the first game of round two playoffs they will be ready to fight back on Friday (March 3).

The Gens played hard in the first but became completely dominated in the final two periods losing to Coaldale Copperheads 8-5 on Tuesday (February 28).

Dan Gendur, Head Coach says the boy were well rested and practiced; although they did everything right, that is sometimes the way the game rolls.

"We know Coaldale's players, what they do, their systems; they are definitely higher competition than what we faced in the first round. We have to adjust, it takes four games to win the series so by no means are we in panic mode or anything."

None the less the boys couldn't help being disappointed.

"Having a lead after the first period and basically getting dominated for 40 minutes after the first period. There's disappointment but that's the ups and downs of playoffs. You can never get too high or too low you just have to go out and play hard every single shift you are out there and we've got to reset and be ready for Friday."

The Gens play game two on home ice (SLSFSC) Friday, March 3 at 7:30 pm.
