The Cochrane Generals will be putting the pressure on the Red Deer Vipers in Game Two tomorrow evening.

The boys had a tough game Tuesday (March 14) but after a strong practice Thursday evening, Dan Gendur, Head Coach, is feeling optimistic.

"The guys were a little bit frustrated with how they came out in game one whether it was nerves or just the fact they didn't play well; we had a great practice last night and we'll be ready to go and making adjustments for Saturday."

The Vipers played to the Generals expectations on Tuesday night, and Gendur admits they just didn't play to their full potential.

"At this time in the season we can't take any games off we need to keep going every game."

With both teams qualifying for Hockey Alberta Junior B provincial championships at the end of the month the boys can't take anything for granted. The road to provincials will take more than just skill; it could cost the team upwards $15,000.

"We need the support from the community to help these boys along, it will just help with everything."

Gendur says it is amazing to see everyone come together to support the players who have worked really hard to get where they are at.

The Gens face off at 8 pm tomorrow (March 18) at the Collicutt Centre in Red Deer, and again on Sunday(March 19) at 2:30 pm on home ice at SLSFSC.
