The Cochrane Crush tier 2 junior baseball season is over and they have much to celebrate.

The team topped their division in the regular season of the District 3 Calgary Little League with a 13-1 record before entering playoffs. The season came to a close on June 20 with a close 17-16 loss to the Foothills team in a home playoff game. It was a three hour tiff that saw the lead seesaw back and forth at least four times until Foothills came out on top by one run.

Head coach Wayne Stanley says it was a pleasure to coach the players and dropped a note to parents saluting his players. He says the 14-year-olds made a great team effort game in, game out all season and he would gladly coach them all again.

All 12 players have now age out of juniors and are eligible to play senior ball next season.
