After a rough patch, the Jr. Ladies Silvertips are back on track with three consecutive wins.

Monday, June 11, the short-handed Tips rallied to beat the Axemen, 8-6. The score went back and forth until the third period when Tips surged ahead. Goals scored by Kara Kondrat (Annie Morrison, Taylor McElroy asst.), Kondrat (from Erin Greenan), Ashley McGill (Morrison, McElroy), McGill (Morrison, Kondrat), Greenan (Adrian Tongs), Kondrat, unassisted to tie up the game, Morrison unassisted on powerplay and Morrison again on powerplay (Greenan, Kondrat).

The Tips' Annie Morrison continues to show her offensive prowess.

It was a bit of a one-sided affair in the Tips 17-2 win over the Drillers at home, June 16. Goals scored by Kondrat (4), Affiliate Livi Clason (3), McGill (2), Greenan (1) and Annie Morrison (6). It was a good game for their rookies and defence, many of them able to make some assists- Callie Hanger, Whitney Thieman, Samantha Mathews, Kim Stainthorpe, Jackie Bayliss, Shelby Fiala and Amy Fordyce.

In contrast, the next day's game against the Axemen was a nailbiter for the first two periods before the Tips controlled play in the third for a 17-12 win.

The Axemen came out hot and lead 4-3 after the first period, chased us through the second, 13-11, before the Tips came out on top, 17-12. Annie Morrison led the team with seven goals, Kondrat with four, while McGill, affiliate Clason and Rage affiliate Bailey Fiala all scored twice. Again, the Tips rookies and defence for making some assists, Kya Beagle-Gehrke, Raegan Burkholder, Sarah Mcneill and Mackenzie Cameron.

In fact, nearly every healthy player on the team made some points last week, says team manager Heather Greenan.

The Tips have a 5-8 record after the wins.

They are on the road for their final four games of the regular season. This weekend the Tips face the Drillers on Saturday, June 23 and the Saints the following day.
