The Red Deer Rampage showed the Silvertips why they are leading the central zone of Jr. 'B' play in the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League (RMLL).

The Rampage took an early lead against the Rocky View Silvertips, July 8, and cruised to a 10-4 win here at the SLS Family Sports Centre.

Silvertips Head Coach Tyler Waycott was disappointed in his team's performance in the game.

"The players didn't come prepared to put in an effort," says Waycott.

Silvertip Josh Halcro carries the ball into the Rampage end.

"They (Rampage) came prepared. They worked hard, they played a very good game, they simply completely outplayed us in all aspects of the game."

The Tips have had some success against the Rampage this season, handing them one of their two losses.

Stepping back to Friday, the Silvertips beat the Olds Mavericks for win number 10.

"It's a good feeling to achieve one of the goals that we set out this year to make the playoffs."

Now the question is if they get home court advantage in the central division semifinals. The Chill and Silvertips are very closely matched and tied 7-7 in their last meeting. Both have two games remaining in the regular season, with the Chill ahead in the standings by two points.

"We've had some very close games against them and we look forward to seeing them again."

The winner of that season will face the Rampage, who sit out the first round.

The Silvertips are at home against the Okotoks Marauders on Friday at 8 p.m. then face the Edmonton Warriors at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
