The Cochrane Generals are putting away their hockey sticks and moving on to other pursuits after finishing their season with a Silver Medal.

On Sunday (April 2) the team played an exciting and hard fought final game against the Wainwright Bisons that went into overtime, ending in a 5-4 loss for the Gens.

Dan Gendur, Generals Head Coach, says the guys played to their full potential throughout the whose season and  " are obviously very happy with the growth our group has shown throughout  the season, obviously there is around 40 Junior B teams in all of Alberta and when you are ranked number 2 it is quite an accomplishment".

Gendur says that he is not sure what will transpire for the team over the summer " with school and work, and some guys might want to go travelling, we don't know exactly what's going to happen, we will make sure that the on-ice product for next season is good".

The Generals four overage players, Connor Rendell, Logan Brown, Corey Goesen and Ty Robinson, have finished their time in the Junior B league and will move on to other pursuits.
