The Junior Ladies Silvertips have extended their winning streak to six with two more come-from-behind W's.

On June 2, they beat the Okotoks Raiders, 12-11, then went on to best the Cardinals, 7-5, on June 5.

The team was down 9-5 at the start of the third but rallied to scored seven goals to snatch the victory away from the Raiders. Between injuries, grad and work, the team was short a few of their regular players but got the job done with the help of affilate players Sarah Bentz, Ceanna Peterson, Cassidy O'Neill and Rylynn Hills.

The score seesawed back and forth in the first to end in a 3-3 tie. Goals were scored by Hills (Kara Kondrat), Hills again, (Cassidy McRae and Cassidy O'Neill) and O'Neill (Lauren Murphy).

The Raiders ran away with the second, but O'Neill scored on a breakaway and Callie Hanger scored from O'Neill to help keep the Tps in the game.

The Tips found another gear in the third and lit it up. Mackenzie Cameron tipped in a rebound, O'Neill was assisted by Hanger on a power play, Hills scored two, assisted by Kondrat and Hanger on one and Taylor McElroy on the other, and Lauren Murphy tied it up at 11 on a breakaway.

The winner came from Kondrat, assisted by Murphy.

The Monday night Cardinals game was a rough one with a slow start and a great finish.

Kondrat put the Tips on the scoreboard, assisted by Taylor McElroy. The Cards came back to score three quick ones and take a 3-1 lead by the end of the first.

The Cards opened the second with an early goal, but the Tips answered back with three by affiliate O’Neill on breakaway, McElroy from Kondrat and Kim Stainthorpe, and affiliate Hills from Kondrat and Christina Olver to close the period in a 4-4 tie.

Olver scored early in the third from affiliate Emma Arifin and O’Neill and a goal by McElroy from Hills and Kondrat. The Cards scored one more but the Tips closed out the game on a goal by Jaimie Betterton via Hills.

Their next game is June 10 at home at the Plainsmen Arena in Airdrie against the Jr. Titans, who are undefeated in their first 10 games and top the junior ladies division of the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League.
