A Cochrane youth is on the track to the Olympics.

Eighteen year old Cochranite Noah Masionneuve, internationally ranked snowboarder, was ripping it up at Canada Olympic Park this weekend at Slope Style. The first day he snagged 3rd place in half pipe out of 40 riders. The next day he competed with 70 riders in Slope Style and walked away with silver.

Masionneuve and his coaches are strategically competing in contests that are setting him on the track for the Olympics, he has been working on this since he was six.

"This has been my life for the last 8 years and now that I am out of high school, I can commit 100% to snowboarding."

What’s on the horizon for this young talented snowboarder?

"Australia, New Zealand, and Japan are on my dream list for places to snowboard."
