Do you know a volunteer in sport who deserves some special recognition?

Cochrane has so many people who make the community great and Sports for Life is a way to show appreciation to those who contribute to the community through sport and recreation. Nominees are now being accepted until March 1.

Awards will be awarded in the following categories:

  • Leader/Coach of the Year
  • Local Business Contributor of the Year
  • Lifetime Achievement Awards
  • Spirit of Sport Award
  • Volunteer of the Year

Lea Wiens, Executive Director, Sports for Life Cochrane, indicates they will be hosting a large event as there are many deserving people in town who could be nominated. The event will have live music, special keynote speaker, appetizers, refreshments, and of course the awards.

"We wanted a way to help celebrate all the volunteers that help make sport happen in this community. It will be a feel good evening where we can express appreciation for the people who do all the great work."
