After a soggy Saturday, the weather cleared in time for the cross-country portion of the Cochrane Horse Trials, last weekend.

The weather, though, didn't prevent over 150 competitors from participating in one of only six Alberta Horse Trials staged annually in the province and the only one in Southern Alberta.

Winners were: preliminary, Allana Bowie, riding Oshianne with a score of 32.5; EV105, Audrey Van Leeuwen on Don of Time, 28.9; Training, Myalee Muller, Classic Finish, 25.9; Pre-Training Open, Krysta Goodkey, Presence of Mine, 26.2; Pre-Training Regular, Emily Tobber, Fwh Flight of Fancy, 31.8; Entry Open, Erin Myles, Phoenix, 30.0; Entry Regular A, Christina Gaspar, Kubic, 27.5; Entry Regular B, Casey Hyllestad, Rainbows to Ritches, 28.0; Pre-Entry Open, Courtney Benton, Samba, 28.4; Re-Entry Regular, Colleen Hanasyk, Simply Irresistible, 36.1; Starter A, Keira Forsyth, Asking for Trouble, 33.3; and Starter B, Mya Hill, Performing Cameo, 38.6.

Instead of a one-day trial event in the fall, there will be a Maya Black and Leahona Rowland Clinic, Aug. 4-5.
