This Saturday the Generals will host a tailgate party as they head into their last two games of the regular season.

The tailgate party will provide an opportunity for community members to meet the players for photos, autographs, and street hockey shooting practice before the puck drops at 7:30 against the High River Flyers on home ice.

Dan Gendur, Head Coach, says hard work has paid off as the Gens have clinched conference title as well as league regular season champions.

"The guys have really come back from the Christmas break and really put the work in. We've won every single game since the Christmas break and we are on a fairly good streak of 11 wins in a row."

The Gens have an opportunity to surpass their previous winning streak of 11 games that they achieved at the start of the season.

"The best we can do is 13, we're not taking these games lightly we're still preparing for playoffs with the last two games."

Some great hockey will be seen over the next couple of games as all teams fight their way to the top.

"It's going to be a battle, the intensity ramps up a little bit and we've got to be ready for a battle."

The Gens are hoping the stands are full as Cochranites cheer and rally around them in hopes of becoming league champions.

The tailgate party kicks off at 3 pm, Saturday February 4, for more information on the event go here.
