The Rocky View Jr. B Silvertips have won three of their last four games and have kept their hopes alive to squeeze into the playoffs of the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League.

The Tips fought back from three quick goals in the first 90 second of the game to come within two by the end of the first, then gain the lead in the second and go on to win 12-10 at the Spray Lake Sawmills Family Sports Centre, July 2.

"We started slow," says head coach Cam Foss. "We spotted them three goals and then made a goalie switch just to change the momentum and then the guys picked it up and went from there," says head coach Cam Foss.

"Our offense was really going and our older guys picked us up on D, too."

It was Jr. A Raiders goalie Joey Janvier that came into the game and he's recently been added to the roster for the balance of the season.

"He has a really good presence in dressing room and then he's really knowledge of lacrosse, too, so he's really helping all the young guys."

The Mounties is one of the teams they are chasing for a playoff spot and Sunday was the Tips first win over them this season.

"The team we just beat is the team we're chasing so that's a big win. I think we have a shot here if we keep on winning the next little bit."

It was a slow start to the season for the Tips who lost their first six games, many of them by one goal, before registering their first win. With the return of key players from school and the addition of goalie Janvier they're now at full strength and are threatening to climb the ranks. Six games remain in their regular schedule, including an upcoming trip to Winnipeg.

The Tips lost to the second place Chill on Friday night, 9-7, and won their two previous games.

They have one more game at the SLSFSC before making the Plainsmen Arena their home rink for the balance of the regular season.
