While no details have been released, witnesses are coming forward to report a fatality that occurred just before 9 pm this evening (May 11).

A number of reports on social media reported hearing a train blast its horn before that same train stood still.

Colten Leutzsch shares his friend who was stopped one vehicle behind the front of the tracks saw the incident unfold. At this time we will not be releasing any eyewitness details.

Leutzsch says the area is shut down. "Pedestrians are still able to get pretty close but there is police cruisers blocking the tracks, they are all over the tracks so no one can get close to the tracks."

Please avoid the area to allow emergency services to do their job.

Once RCMP or EMS provide a release we will update the story.
