The Cochrane RCMP are seeking the public's help in identifying three people they believe have information on a theft at the Cochrane Walmart, two weeks ago.

On the evening of Aug. 9 around 9 p.m. the store's loss prevention officers were attempting to arrest a female for theft under $2,000, but she fled the scene and jumped into an awaiting car, a 1997 black 2-door Honda Prelude with the licence plate BHF 0984.

"Once they had arrested her they were looking at items she was alleged to have stolen and she ran out of the store into an awaiting vehicle and at that time they phoned the RCMP," explains RCMP Const. Kary Moore.

While the alleged thief got away, the loss prevention officers did recover the stolen items.

The RCMP have had no leads on the identity of these people at this point, says Moore, and they are hoping the public can help point them in the right direction.

If you recognize any of the people in the accompanying photographs, please contact the Cochrane RCMP at 403-851-8000.
