Councillor Morgan Nagel made it publicly known he will be seeking re-election for Cochrane Council this fall.

While Councillors Jeff Toews, Mary Lou Eckmeier, and Gaynor Levisky have announced they won't be running again, Nagel and Watson are the only members of council thus far to declare their intent to run for re-election.

Nagel commented that he will continue to stand up for issues he believes in.

"For the next four months I am going to continue doing a lot of what I have been doing the past four years; slowing down development, fixing traffic, and cutting taxes."

We will have a more in depth interview with Councillor Nagel in the coming days.

Besides the two councillors, Dan Cunin, is the only other person to declare candidacy at this time.
