Cochrane RCMP responded to a single gunshot in Elbow Valley last evening (December 4) around 6:30 pm.

Once RCMP reached the scene, they located a deceased person.

RCMP say there are no concerns for public safety nor are they seeking any suspects at this time.

The investigation is ongoing at this time with no mention whether/if more details will be released.
