Banff-Airdrie MP Blake Richards is wondering when the Liberal government plans to live up to all its promises?!

Richards says the Liberals are 'all hat and no cattle' and he is wondering when exactly the Liberals plan to pass promised legislation. "There has been a lot of promises they made and not only are they not keeping those but in many cases doing the exact opposite of what they said they are going to do. I have said a number of times in the House of Commons and elsewhere that Justin Trudeau and the liberals are all talk and no action."

Since they took office, Richards, shares the government has only passed 19 bills in two years; compared to twice that when conservatives held majority. Not only does Richards believe they are incompetent in moving the agenda forward, there is confusion as to what the agenda actually is . "What they told us during the election, and what they told people during the election is not what they are doing now."

Though the government may try to change their rules to suit their purpose, Richards, says as being part of the opposition they will continue to make sure items are properly debated and go through due process. "In a democracy that is not how things are supposed to work, as I have said they have tried a few different ways to do that and we have been able to fight back on those things. When they have got legislation that they think is best for the country then bring it forward; allow there to be debate and make your arguments."

While not passing legislation may bode well for Richards and the opposition, he is hoping for Canadian's sake that the government sticks by their promises rather than pushing things forward that are damaging. "Tax increases and the types of spending we are seeing is putting us in a huge deficit which is going to be paid for by our children and grandchildren."

Richards of course is hopeful the Conservatives will get a shot to fix some of these issues in the next couple of years, but it won't be easy. "It's going to be a huge job to come out of the hole they have dug for this country."

Being responsible with how the government is spending taxpayers money and holding them accountable are two items that will continue to be on Richards own agenda.
