The gates for Canada's largest faith music festival are about to open and thousands are expected to enjoy top Christian performers, including Saturday night headliner Reba McEntire.

An opening ceremony closely follows the opening of the gates Saturday morning at 11 a.m. and will involve members of the Stoney Nakoda Nation, dignitaries, executive producers of the festival, and members of the church community.

Seven bands will be featured Saturday, kicked off by Newsong and continuing with Aboriginal band Okama, Danny Cosby, Jamie Grace, Jason Gray, Hawk Nelson, We Are Messengers, Tenth Avenue North. Headliner McEntire is scheduled to hit the stage at 9 p.m.

It was Tenth Avenue North that was featured at a small gathering Friday night at the site of the McDougall Memorial Church. They shared stories, laughter and songs and set the tone for the weekend ahead.

Sunday's headliner For King and Country are scheduled to hit the stage at 9:10 p.m. Preceeding them are NGL Worship Team, Caves, Stars Go Dim, Warren Dean Flandez, The Color, Rapture Ruckus, Sidewalk Prophets and Building 429.

No Greater Love is a family friendly festival. Its youth zone includes a skateboard park and a “Kids’ Kingdom” featuring sports, slides, and kids’ activities. There's also a vendor alley showcasing local artisans, an area highlighting First Nations culture, food truck village, and more. An ATM is onsite.
