Those who will not be in Cochrane for the municipal election to vote at any of the advance polls or on election day can request a special ballot.

Your confidentiality is assured with the system incorporated by the town and it will be counted. They are sent by mail and allow you to vote by mail.

Meanwhile, the town has established a number of advance polls for the Oct. 16 election. There are four in total and the first one is being held Oct. 7 at the SLS Family Sport Centre.

Three polling stations have been established for election day and are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

If you live north of Hwy. 1A or in Gleneagles, you vote at the Cochrane RancheHouse, 101 RancheHouse Rd. Those living east of Hwy. 22 and south of Hwy. 1A (excluding Gleneagles) vote at the Frank Wills Memorial Hall, 405-1st St. E..If you live west of Hwy. 22 and south of Hwy. 1A, your voting station is at the Glenbow School, 55 Glenpatrick Rd. 

There is no voters' list so you will be required to produce proof of identity, You can refer to the town website for acceptable forms of identification.
