Are you planning to head out for New Year's Eve?!

If you haven't made plans yet, we have your local rundown on what is happening in the Cochrane area. From adult fun to fun for the whole family, here is a list of places you may want to consider ringing in 2019 at:

  • Killarney's Family Pub: Starts at 5:30 pm. Special menu and drink specials being offered (outside of ticket cost), with an option to enjoy a prime rib dinner. Entertainment provided by Rob Skeet. Tickets are $10+GST in advance or $20 at the door. 
  • Half Hitch Brewing Company: Brew Years Eve will be family friendly up until 9 pm and then once the lights go down and youngins leave, the party will be cranked up. $5 HH pints, $3.50 highballs, and a complimentary champagne toast will be part of the evening which will include a DJ rockin' your favourite tunes into the New Year. No cover.
  • Fence & Post: The regular menu will be available from 4 to 6 pm. After that, there are two seatings offering a five-course menu one at 6:30 and 8:30 pm. Tickets can be purchased here https://www.fenceandpost.ca/shop. The late seating offers the ability to stay until midnight and enjoy live entertainment and a glass of bubbly!
  • Mehtab East Indian Cuisine: Special lunch and dinner buffet offered with over 30 items. Lunch ($17.95 adults, $9.95 kids) and dinner ($24.95 adults, kids $14.95), reservations are advised at 403-851-0100 but walk-ins are always welcome.
  • The Canadian Brewhouse: NYE Party is $20/ticket which includes a pizza buffet, champagne toast at midnight, DJ, dancing, and a Free Wings Card to every guest at midnight. The Wings card gets you 1 free pound of wings every Wing Wednesday in 2019. 
  • The Texas Gate: Laugh in the New Year at the Texas Gate. Prime rib and lobster buffet will begin at 7:30 pm with 90 minutes of comedy kicking off at 9 pm with Daddy Mack and guest. Champagne and midnight buffet also included tickets anywhere from $15 to $75.
  • Ducks on the Roof Sports Bar and Grill: Prime rib dinner for $25 with party favours and champagne at midnight. Regular drink and food specials will be offered along with a DJ pumping out the tunes. 
  • The Venue Bar and Grill: NYE Gala and Dance Party will include a 5-course dinner, show, and dance party with reserved seating beginning at 5:30 pm. Dinner includes a Charcuterie board, Consomme soup, Seared scallop, Filet mignon with roasted potatoes, broccolini, grilled shrimp, and orange creme brulee. Live music Suicide Blonde Reborn as Hot Shotz tickets for ALL $40. Tickets are available for the Dance Party only which kicks off at 9 pm ($15 at the door) Midnight festivities include champagne, balloon drop, and midnight snacks. Tickets available at the Venue.
  • The Bavarian Inn (Bragg Creek): Doors open at 7 pm with six-course tasting dinner beginning at 8 pm. Fresh oyster bar and charcuterie happy hour to start, with board games (guests are welcome to bring their own favourite game), and a champagne toast at midnight.  Tickets are $89 plus GST and the evening is 70% sold out. 
  • Water Valley Saloon: Prime Rib dinner, reservation only $35. Country Barbie Band starts at 9 - charge for the dance is $10. Safe Ride Home program, call for details.
