Details have emerged regarding an investigation at a Bearspaw acreage on Friday (February 24).

That morning, a large police presence was spotted at the acreage.

Cpl. Curtis Peters said that Cochrane RCMP and the Clandestine Lab Eradication and Response (CLEAR) team confiscated components for a small scale meth lab. The lab had not been assembled.

Peters explained the large police presence was necessary, as police didn't know what they might encounter at the property.

There are no charges in the investigation at this time.

The CLEAR team deals with meth and fentanyl labs.
