Cochrane RCMP is asking for public assistance in locating three suspects involved in shoplifting incidents.

Constable Kary Moore says they would like to locate the two women and one man involved in the thefts that occurred on April 4 and 5. "On April 6 the Cochrane RCMP received a report of three individuals entering the Shoppers Drug Mart in Cochrane two days in a row stealing fragrances worth approximately $5000."

On the 4th, employees noticed the three individuals enter the store and steal Chanel fragrance only to return the next evening and do it all over again. "On the second occurrence, the employees watched the group leave in a white Honda Civic with a Saskatchewan licence plate 087 IFK. Upon investigation, it was discovered that the licence plate was reported stolen already from Saskatchewan."

A picture of the two women is above and the male suspect is described as native, 5’4” with a ponytail.

While Cst. Moore shares fragrance theft of this amount is not overly common, it does happen. "I am not sure of the market for it, it strikes me as unusual, but I don't think it is. I don't know what they would do with the fragrances since they steal them."

Cst. Moore states at this time, RCMP believe this group could be connected to similar thefts in outlying communities as well.

If you recognize the two ladies or see the white Honda Civic you are asked to contact the Cochrane detachment at 403-851-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
