Cochrane RCMP is hoping the public can help them identify two people of interest in connection with a local theft.

Constable Kary Moore shares that on October 30 at roughly 2 pm, Cochrane RCMP was called to investigate a theft at a local store. "The business did have surveillance footage. After review of the footage, it shows a male and a female entering the store and walking around for approximately 10 or 15 minutes. The male suspect then departs the store and shortly thereafter the female suspect also departs the store but her arms are full of as much merchandise as she can carry."

The pair fled the scene in a black Toyota Tercel with an unknown plate.

Cst. Moore states they are not releasing the business name in hopes that other businesses don't become targets. "It is nice to have surveillance footage, but if they know, they stop targeting this one particular store which is great but then they move to another store perhaps where there isn't footage."

Cst. Moore states there was no exact cost to the goods stolen but believes it to be under $5000.

If you recognize the suspects you are asked to contact the Cochrane detachment at 403-851-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
