The community needs assessment 'Cochrane Cares' is up and Family Community Support Services (FCSS) is hoping to hear from all Cochrane residents from youth to seniors.

Susan Flowers, FCSS, Manager says they are looking for input regarding social, recreational and health needs/ amenities within the Cochrane community.

"What is working for them now, what is missing in the community, and what they wish we had. It is generally a review of people's well being and we will use it to guide our service in the next three or four years."

The information gathered is extremely important as assessments prior proved to be the cornerstone of Seniors on the Bow as well as the Community Health Centre. The information provided will also be available to user groups or nonprofits within the Cochrane community for grant opportunities.

"Any grant application is always looking for research and proof of the need we will hand it out to all the agencies and they can use it as they need to."

Flowers wants to hear from all community members including those brand new to Cochrane, and shares assessments have been created for youth, those aged 18-64, and seniors,
