Home Reno Heaven is a win-win-win for the Cochrane area.

Not only are there great deals available for your home and business renovations, but it also accepts useable items that may otherwise be wasted.

Plus, all proceeds stay here in Cochrane to help support the work of the Cochrane Society of Housing Options.

Home Reno Heaven is about to launch its annual 12 Days of Christmas Sale from Dec. 10 to 23 that offers themed items in the store for 25 per cent off.

"So, for example, one day might be flooring, another day might be paint and paint accessories, another day might be appliances," explains CSHO marketing specialist Lisa Kedian.

Kedian says they will be posting their specials on both Facebook and Instagram.

"Keep an eye out. If there's something you need, it's the perfect time to pop into the store, not only for those deals but for everything else that they have."

"The prices are already much lower than retail so it's a great opportunity to come into the store if you're doing home renovations, or you're renovating businesses or you want to update a few things around the house."

Staff and volunteers are there to assist.

"Many members of the staff and volunteers are very knowledgeable, so if you have any questions they're there to help you. They'll answer your questions as best as they can and direct you to the materials you need to get your project done."

Located at 136 Charlesworth Ave. it truly lives up to its name. A wide selection of items you need to complete your renovations can be found. Alphabetically speaking, everything from gentle-used appliances to yard tools and pretty much everything in between is available.

Ideally, many are in quantities more suitable for smaller projects.

Home Reno Heaven is open Monday to Saturday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Clothing and textile collection banks

By the way, as you roll up to the store you'll see a series of three clothing banks. There are several of these distinct banks located across the community with the CSHO logo clearly visible.

What makes these different than other collection bins across the community is the large variety of textiles accepted. They are the only bins that accept clothing and textiles in any condition, whether they are in good shape, worn, or torn. Besides clothing, you can contribute other household textiles, like sheets, towels, curtains, shoes, handbags, and bags.

The only condition is that they be clean.

Like all funds raised through CSHO initiatives, all proceeds remain in Cochrane.

CSHO bins can also be found at the Cochrane Lions Event Centre, the Cochrane Protective Services Building, the Cochrane Eco Centre, SLS Family Sports Centre, and Cochrane Arena.
